You will have access to the Al Maktoum Medical Library, various digital learning resources in the Digital Design Lab, and the largest fully accredited medical simulation center in Dubai, the Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor Medical Simulation Center.
How can I apply?
Applications to the MScHPE and PGDipHPE programs can only be submitted through our online application portal. Applications are only accepted during the open application period. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered after the deadline, and interested applicants are invited to apply for the next academic year. For your application to be considered complete, you will need to submit your online application, upload all supporting documents, and pay the non-refundable application fee of AED 1050 (1000AED + 5 % VAT).

How does the teaching and learning look like?
The MSc in Health Professions Education at MBRU is a comprehensive two-year program designed to fit the needs of busy healthcare professionals. The first year features a modular format with a blend of online and face-to-face sessions, allowing participants to master foundational principles in teaching, learning, assessment strategies, and curriculum planning. The second year begins with an 8-week Research Methodology course that follows the same blended learning approach. Thesis writing in the latter part of the program offers flexibility, with the pace and structure tailored to the mutual arrangements between participants and their supervisors. This structure ensures personalized guidance while fostering the development of substantial scholarly projects that contribute to educational advancements.
How does the admission process work?
Please note that for your application to be considered, you must complete the online application, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee. An experienced panel of MBRU faculty and staff will then review completed applications and shortlist qualified candidates. Selection will be based on the applicant’s academic and professional credentials as well as the motivational letter.
What does the admissions committee evaluate when making admissions decisions?
Previous academic and/or professional experience are the main criteria for evaluation. However, communication skills and personality characteristics are also taken into consideration. English proficiency is a mandatory requirement.
When am I required to attend classes?
The graduate programs in HPE are blended, so there are requirements for attendance on campus and online. Typically, online classes will take place on Friday mornings, and on campus classes will take place on Saturdays. The HPE700 and HPE707 courses will require a full week on campus at the start of the course.
