The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) has announced the commencement of the application cycle for the academic year 2023-24. This year, the university embraces the theme of “Empathy in Learning. Patient First.” The application window officially opened on Sunday, October 15, coinciding with MBRU’s participation in various higher education fairs throughout the UAE.
MBRU participated in Najah Expo, a platform for students seeking higher education opportunities, which had its first event from October 8-10 at the Dubai World Trade Center and will continue on October 29-31 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. MBRU’s presence at Najah Expo provides eager undergraduate students the opportunity to interact with the university’s representatives and explore a wide range of topics, including academics, campus life, research initiatives, the MBRU Summer Scholars program, scholarships and more. MBRU also participated in the 18th International Education Show, which was held at the Expo Center Sharjah from October 18-21.
MBRU provides inclusive and diverse educational learning opportunities through its three colleges: Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine, the College of Medicine, and the College of Nursing and Midwifery. These colleges offer an extensive selection of healthcare programs accredited by the Ministry of Education in the UAE, including the College of Medicine’s MBBS, Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine provides specialist postgraduate degrees, with graduates eligible to sit for exams with international dental colleges, including the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Membership examinations, and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) Membership in Periodontics.
The College of Nursing and Midwifery offers postgraduate specialty degrees, including MSc programs in Cardiovascular and Pediatric nursing, complete with clinical training opportunities both locally and internationally, notably at the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland through a strategic partnership with the university’s academic partner, Queen’s University Belfast.
Dr. Laila Al Suwaidi, Dean of Student Affairs at MBRU, said: “MBRU is dedicated to serving individuals who wish to pursue a healthcare career, regardless of where they are in their professional journey.
