About the Program
The Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program was established in 2023. This program focuses on advanced training in pediatric gastroenterology, covering a comprehensive range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders in children. With a capacity for 2 fellows, the program ensures a personalized and focused learning experience. The three-year duration allows fellows to deepen their expertise in areas such as inflammatory bowel disease, nutritional disorders, and liver transplantation. Graduates from this program are well-prepared to contribute to pediatric gastroenterology, providing specialized and comprehensive care to children with gastrointestinal and liver conditions.

Dear Prospective Fellows,
Welcome to our Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. Our Fellowship Program is a three-year training program that provides a unique opportunity for aspiring gastroenterologists to be trained in an academic medical training program.
Our ultimate goal is to guide trainees to become competent Pediatric Gastroenterologists and leaders in this field.
The fellows will be trained by a highly qualified team of pediatric gastroenterology consultants and senior specialists. They will be exposed to a broad range of general and complex pediatric GI cases in inpatient and outpatient settings including Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Intestinal Failure, Failure to Thrive, feeding difficulties in children with complex needs, including a cohort of home Parenteral Nutrition patients.
There will be excellent training in procedures including Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Polypectomy, PEG insertion, foreign body removal, Esophageal Dilatation, and Variceal Banding to name a few.
Fellows will also be given the opportunity to function with other members of the health care team in both inpatient and ambulatory settings to become proficient as leaders in the organization and bring systematic improvement of the processes of patient care.
