Overview:
The MBRU Careers fair is an opportunity for MBRU’s students to explore clinical and non-clinical career paths.
The Fair will offer exhibition booths to showcase clinical specialties, workshops to help develop skills such as interview skills, and talks focused on non-clinical career pathways. Plenary sessions will address medical licensing in the UAE and overseas and the talks from residents will be about their career paths following graduation.
The event offers students an opportunity to meet experienced clinicians and gives them the platform to discuss matter such as patient contact, work-life balance or the length of training and amount of competition in the field, or about any other aspect of their specialty. Questions students might consider asking clinicians are:
- What aspect of the specialty do you find most satisfying?
- What do they struggle with the most?
- How can I build my CV to become competitive to apply to a certain specialty?
- If you had your time again, what advice would you give to yourself as a medical student?
The Fair is open to all students from Year 4 to Year 6. Click here to download the Virtual Booth Program
