Associate Professor in Health Professions Education

The IOL, a transdisciplinary academic department within MBRU, is dedicated to advancing the sciences of learning across multiple levels within the health sciences field. Our mission is to improve health systematically by fostering effective, routine, and efficient learning.
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Associate Professor to join our team at the IOL. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, teaching, and providing service in medical or health professions education. The position also offers opportunities for leadership within departmental programs. IOL faculty members are expected to maintain active research programs in their area of expertise that contribute to the advancement of Health Professions Education (HPE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research that advances the field of HPE.
- Teach and advise students in the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc HPE programs.
- Contribute to departmental certificate programs and faculty development activities.
- Participate in service activities within the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Ph.D. in Medical/Health Professions Education or a related field.
- Demonstrated scholarship and a track record of funding in HPE.
- Documented experience in medical or other health professions education.
- Broad interests and skills within HPE, along with depth in an area of study or methodology relevant to HPE.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (essential).
- Knowledge of Arabic (desirable).
