Nameer Al-Taai obtained his academic degrees in Baghdad and Sweden. He has 16 years of clinical and academic experience in Sweden and has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching at the Department of Odontology, Umeå University.
Dr. Al-Taai has published numerous original research articles. His work includes investigating the effect of rapid maxillary expansion (RME) on nocturnal enuresis and exploring potential mechanisms underlying this relationship, including placebo effects, nasal obstruction, and the role of antidiuretic hormone (ADH). He also developed a novel cephalometric method that precisely quantifies craniofacial changes associated with growth, orthodontic treatment, and orthognathic surgery. Additionally, he has conducted extensive research on dentoalveolar and craniofacial development, extending up to 60 years of age.
