Dr. Leigh Powell holds a doctorate in Education where her research focused on how to apply

data-driven strategies to promote the development of learning and teaching. She has had the

opportunity to work in various capacities on research projects related to public health, teaching

practice, and learning design. Currently a Lecturer and Senior Learning Designer with the Institute for

Excellence in Health Professions Education, Leigh has developed multiple projects related to

community health education and faculty development. She has a strong interest in learning analytics and how best to leverage and visualize data for the purposes of improving academic experiences.
