Iyad, who is also a Consultant Pediatric Dentist and Dubai Dental Hospital, has been a United Kingdom (UK) “Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry”  since 2001.  He joined Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine (HBMCDM), MBRU in July 2014, and has been working since as part of the college’s pediatric dentistry team to provide clinical and academic specialist postgraduate training to  postgraduate residents.  He has 30+ years of experience in various aspects of dentistry and has Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDSRCPSGlasg). Prior to joining MBRU, he worked for 24 years in various clinical and academic posts across the UK (England and Scotland) .  His last post involved working for 16 years at Dundee Dental School and Hospital (in Scotland) providing teaching , clinical training and examining in pediatric dentistry, restorative dentistry and oral surgery and medicine.  He gained his specialty training at Leeds Dental Institute (in England) in 1995 and completed his Master of Dental Science there.  He has Full Registration with the UK”s General Dental Council (GDC). Iyad received his undergraduate training  at the University of Damascus (Syria) in 1990 qualifying with a Doctor of Dental Science (DDS).  He has an interest in  dental caries, anxiety, periodontology, oral medicine and oral surgery in pediatric dentistry. He has 40 + publications in international dental journals.
